Pleasant Home prepares for Georgiana

The Pleasant Home Eagles (2-3, 2-1) are eager to get back into region play when they travel to Georgiana on Friday to take on the Panthers (2-4, 1-2).

Pleasant Home was on a two-game winning streak before falling to Class 5A Satsuma 55-0 last week in Satsuma.

The Eagles opened up the season with a 26-6 loss to Class 3A Elberta.

In week two, Pleasant Home was downed 54-0 by the Elba Tigers.

Pleasant Home came up with a 22-12 win over the Red Level Tigers in week three.

The Eagles went to 2-1 in the when they took down McKenzie 12-6.

Pleasant Home has scored 40 points this season and has given up 153 points.

Georgiana comes into the game with a two-game losing streak.

Georgiana began the year with a big 40-14 win over Class 2A St. Luke’s.

In week one, Class 2A Luverne dropped the hammer on the Panthers with a 41-6 win.

Georgiana dropped their region opener with a 30-20 loss to the Florala Wildcats.

The Panthers came up with their first region win with a 52-21 victory over McKenzie.

In week four, Brantley defeated Georgiana 61-28.

Last week, Goshen beat Georgiana 55-8.

Georgiana has scored 154 points and has given up 222 points.

Pleasant Home and Georgiana are set for a 7 p.m., kickoff on Friday.
