Bobcats put on a strong show

The Opp Lady Bobcats (16-6) put up a strong effort as they went 1-2 in the Ozark volleyball tournament.

MATCH ONE

REHOBETH 2, OPP 1

In the opening match of the tournament, the Lady Bobcats fell to Rehobeth 2-1.

Both teams came out on a mission in the opening game and the lead went back-and-forth.

However, Rehobeth was able to slip past the Lady Bobcats for a 25-18 win.

In the second game of the match, both teams again came out fighting for the win.

Opp was able to pull away late for a 25-20 victory to even the match up at 1-1.

Game three was another battle to the finish with both teams not willing to give up ground.

Rehobeth held off the Lady Bobcats late for a 15-12 win to clinch the match.

MATCH TWO

OPP 2, DOTHAN 1

In the second match of the tournament, Opp was able to pick up a 2-1 win over Dothan.

The first set of the match was a battle to the finish.

It was a back-and-forth contest from the beginning, but Dothan was able to squeeze out a 25-23 victory.

Opp came out strong in the second game and took control of the contest early.

Dothan made a comeback, but Opp held on for a 25-19 win.

In the final game of the match, Opp once again came out strong from the beginning.

Opp was able to push past Dothan for a 15-8 victory to win the match 2-1.

MATCH THREE

G.W. LONG 2, OPP 0

In the final match of the day, G.W. Long finished off the day with a 2-0 win over Opp.

Opp put up a solid effort in the opening set, but G.W. Long pulled away for a 25-21 win.

G.W. Long finished off the match with a big 25-3 victory.

During the tournament, Taylor Carnley led the way with 21 assists, 13 digs, nine blocks, nine kills and two aces.

Enley Carnley came up with 16 digs, 15 kills and two aces.

Ansley Foster had 25 assists, 10 digs and two aces.

Claire Breedlove had 12 blocks and six kills.

Evie Younce finished with 25 digs.

Emily Mitchell picked up nine kills, seven aces and four blocks.
