Opp finishes third in W.S. Neal tournament

The Opp Lady Bobcats gave a strong effort as they finished third in the 2nd Annual W.S. Neal Dig Pink Tournament on Saturday in Brewton.

MATCH ONE

PLEASANT HOME 2, OPP 0

In the opening match of the day, the Pleasant Home Lady Eagles earned a 2-0 win over the Lady Bobcats.

The match started out with both teams trading points.

Pleasant Home was able to edge out the Lady Bobcats 25-23 in the first set.

In the second set, both teams continued to put forth strong efforts.

The Lady Eagles pulled off the sweep with a 25-22 win in match two.

Sarah Katherine Guilford and Amy Kate Bulger each had a big match for the Lady Eagles to help propel them to a big win.

MATCH TWO

OPP 2,

W.S. NEAL 0

In the second match of the tournament, Opp was able to pull off a 2-0 sweep over W.S. Neal.

Opp and W.S. Neal both came out on fire in the opening set.

It took extra points, but Opp was able to pull out a 29-27 victory in the first set.

Opp came out on a mission in the second set and was able to pull away to a 25-17 victory.

MATCH THREE

OPP 2,

NORTHVIEW 0

Opp continued their strong day with a 2-0 sweep over Northside in their third match of the day.

The Lady Bobcats opened up the first set with scoring outburst.

Opp went on to a 25-14 win.

Northview put up more of a battle in the second game and the Lady Bobcats needed

MATCH FOUR

FLOMATON 2,

OPP 0

The day came to an end when the Lady Bobcats fell to Flomaton 2-0 in the semifinals.
