JEANETTE BRADLEY MATTHEWS

Jeanette Bradley Matthews, 85, of Lockhart, Ala., passed away on Tue., Oct. 22, 2019.

She was born December 31, 1933, to the late Willie and Lula Caphart Bradley.

She grew up in Lockhart, Ala., and received her education in the Covington County Alabama School System.

She was a civil service employee of Eglin Air Force Base Laundry retiring after 30 years.

She united in holy matrimony to the late Wilton Matthews on Sept. 1, 1951. He preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 2005.

She leaves to treasure her memories five children; Donnie Ray Matthews (Joyce), Lockhart, AL; Debra Matthews Tyler (Emmitt-deceased), Terre Haute, IN; Melvin Dan Matthews Sr. (Clarissa), Midland, Ga.; John Albert Matthews (Teresa), Montgomery, Ala.; Craig Douglas Matthews (Stephanie), Birmingham, Ala.

Funeral Services will be held on Sat., Oct. 26, 2019, 11 a.m., at Macedonia Baptist Church is Lockhart, Ala.

Viewing will be from 5 p.m., until 7 p.m., of Fri., Oct. 25, 2019, at Marshall-Hammond Funeral Home, Andalusia, and on Saturday from 10 a.m., until 11 a.m., Oct. 26, 2019, at Macedonia Baptist Church, Lockhart, Ala.

Burial will follow in Lockhart Cemetery.

Arrangements handled by Marshall-Hammond Funeral Home, 137 Snowden Dr. Andalusia.

RANDALL LEE EDSON

Mr. Randall Lee Edson, age 49, of Red Level, passed away on Oct. 23, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sun., Oct. 27, at Foreman Funeral Home with Brother Tommy Weems officiating and burial following in Fairmount Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sun., Oct. 27, from 1p.m., until 2 p.m., at Foreman Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Edson of Red Level, his son, Nicholas Edson of Red Level, AL., his daughter, Emily Edson of Red Level, his uncle, Leon Edson of Loango, and cousin Elaine Fowler of Loango.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Coy and Ruby Edson and brother, John David Ammons.

“Randall Edson is the love of my life. He fought so hard for his life for eleven days trying to stay alive for us. Our children and I are completely heart broken by his passing. He has a tough exterior but he has a heart of gold, which he only showed to his closest family and friends. He hid how sensitive he really was because he thought he needed to be a big, tough guy. He would be the first to admit that he is not perfect, but he always had perfect intentions. He loved to talk with people and made friends with just about everyone. One of the things that I thought was the funniest about Randall is that I always said that he could sell ice to an Eskimo.  He was a good talker.  I would like for everyone to remember him for his kindness and laughter. He means everything to us. Please pray for My Randall and our family.” Bonnie Edson
