MYRTLE RUTH WILLIAMS

Mrs. Myrtle Ruth Williams, 89, of Andalusia, passed away Sat., Oct. 26, 2019, at Andalusia Hospital.

Mrs. Williams was a graduate of Straughn High School.

She worked many years as a nurse at Covington Memorial Hospital, Hillcrest Hospital in Andalusia, and worked 33 years at Andalusia Hospital until her retirement in 2004. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Andalusia. She was a loving mother figure and mentor to many through the years.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Tue., Oct. 29, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Herb Carlisle and Brother Gary Martin officiating the service.  The interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Red Level.  Visitation will begin at 9 a.m., Tuesday at Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Johnny Pippin of Andalusia, Carol and Sam Mock of Prattville; a daughter-in-law, Rene Williams of Loango; two grandchildren, Courtney Williams and Suzanne Mock; two great grandchildren, Kaylie Williams and Destinie Tillery; one sister-in-law, Eva Bullard of Andalusia; many nieces and nephews; and special friends; Charles and June Young.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Miriam and Lelia Coker Uptagraft; her husband, Ed Williams, Jr.; her son, Eddie Williams; and a brother, Roy Uptagraph.

LINNIE ELLEN OWENS

Mrs. Linnie Ellen Owens, 77, of Andalusia, passed away Sun., Oct. 27, 2019, at Andalusia Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in New Home Primitive Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Foreman Funeral Home.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Junior Owens, Paul Christophor and Anita Owens of Andalusia; two daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda Owens and Kevin Rabren and Kristy and Shawn Carter; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, two sisters, Dorothy Ward and Betty Nelson; and a brother and sister-in-law, James and Pinya Ainsworth; with many nieces and nephews surviving as well.

She is preceded in death by her husband Junior Shelby Owens and her son, James Ricky Owens.

IDA REBECCA GREEN

Miss Ida Rebecca Green, 71, of Andalusia, passed away in Opp Health and Rehab on Sat., Oct. 26, 2019.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wed., Oct. 30, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with speaker John Northrup officiating the service. The interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tue., Oct. 29, from 6 p.m., until 8 p.m., at Foreman Funeral Home.

She is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan and Herbie Rivera of Andalusia, Bernice Alton of Branson, MO, Myrtice and Jim Ward of Springdale, Ark, Edna and Richard Terry of Loango; a sister-in-law, Joyce Green of Holt; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Inos Kendrick Green and Sible Worley Green; and brothers, L. C., James, and Willie C. Green.
