The Covington County Engineering Department will be closing the Point A Road near Gantt, beginning at 8 a.m., Jan. 8, 2020.

According to the engineering department, the road closure is for the purpose of a bridge replacement project and is expected to be closed through March 17, 2020.

A temporary detour will be in place for local traffic and for truckloads less than three tons. All construction signs and barricades will be in accordance with the MUTCD manual.
