Red Level JAG students took home numerous awards at this year’s District Career Development conference.

This conference was held on March 9, at Montgomery Marriott Prattville, Hotel & Conference Center at Capitol Hill in Prattville.

The JAG Bowl Team includes Brody Ingram, Jake Jeter, Katelyn Griggs, Bella Owens, Tucker Livings, Kade Green, Olivia Whitfield, Taylor Fowler and Sydny Morrow.

Each year the group attends District and State Career Development Conferences.  At these conferences, there are several career-based competitions.

Tony Ingram, athletic director and sponsor  at Red Level High School said, “Red Level has always represented itself well, however this year at the District conference we did exceptionally well. Either winning or placing second in every event.”

Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) is a state-based national non-profit organization dedicated to supporting young people of great promise. JAG is delivering the best results in its 40-year history, while serving youth who face significant challenges, to help them reach economic and academic success.

Ingram emphasized that JAG helps young people of truly great promise succeed both in school and on-the-job, leading to a productive and rewarding career. Jobs for America’s Graduates is led by a public/private partnership at the national level, composed of leading Governors, C-Suite Executives among the Fortune 500 and national community leaders. It is organized to support State Affiliates in the high-impact delivery of the JAG Model across middle school, high school, and out-of-school and collegiate young adult populations. JAG is proud to have served over 1.4 million young people since 1980. This group of students will be attending the State Conference on April 7 in Birmingham.

Creative Problem Solving- Team 1st Place Tucker Livings, Kade Green, Bella Owens & Olivia Whitfield

Public Speaking-2nd Place Sydny Morrow

Decision Making-2nd Place Jake Jeter
