CHRIS LAWSON

Mr. Chris Lawson of Andalusia passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 1, 2020. He was 35.

Graveside services will be held 10 a.m., Sunday, May 3, 2020, at Carolina Baptist Church Cemetery. Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

Left to cherish his memory, father, Travis (Kay) Lawson of Andalusia; son, Caden Glenn Lawson of Andalusia; daughter, McKinley Lawson of Andalusia; paternal grandfather, Glenn Lawson of Andalusia; maternal grandmother, Sherry (Johnny) Jackson of Andalusia; uncles, Timothy L. Lawson of Andalusia, Mike Carter of Andalusia, Hal McGee of Andalusia and aunt, Billy-Jo Kyser of Andalusia; great uncle, Steve D. Lawson of Andalusia and great aunt, Mary Bass of Andalusia.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cathy Lawson, and sister, Christy Nicole “Sissy” Lawson.

Chris was a bucket operator with the family business, Lawson Tree Service. He loved being outdoors and especially fishing. He was loved greatly by his family and friends and will be so missed.

CINDY BUTTS

Ms. Cindy Butts of Andalusia passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at her residence. She was 59.

There will be a time of visitation for friends from 1:30 p.m., to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Keahey Funeral Home. Cremation will follow. State precautions for COVID-19 will be followed.

Left to cherish her memory, mother, Shelby Jean Henby Pierson of Andalusia; daughters, Melissa Bozeman of Andalusia and Amanda Dubose of Atmore, AL;, brother, Terry Bozeman of Babbie community; sister, Linda (Mitch) Donaldson of Elba; 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Ray Bozeman and sister, Shelia Bolling.

ROSALYN TILLER

Mrs. Rosalyn Tiller of Andalusia passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020, at Andalusia Manor.

She was 94.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2020, at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Larry Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends at Keahey Funeral Home from 11 a.m., on Saturday until time to depart for the graveside. Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

Left to cherish her memory, son, Norman Tiller (Joyce) of Fairhope, AL; grandchildren, Kim Steele (John) of Napoleon, Ohio, and Michelle Biggs (Shelton) of Andalusia (Straughn); 5 great-grandchildren, Brandon Wiley Gantt (Megan), Autumn Steele Brown (Jake), Kari Biggs Skipper (Hampton), Cierra Steele and fiance’ Aaron Mershman, and John Steele, Jr.; sister, Jean Thomas of Andalusia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Carey” Tiller, and daughter, Elaine Tiller Wiley.

After 41 years, at the Alatex, in personnel and as a switchboard operator, she retired and worked another 7 years with Youth Services at the Covington County Court House. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.

GRACE A. SELMAN

Grace A. Selman, 76, of Andalusia, died Tuesday, April 28, 2020. Grace was born August 20, 1943 in Bay Minnette, Al to Floyd and Evelyn (Owens) Conner. She married David C. Selman December 22, 1961, they shared 46 years of marriage.

They began their married life in Andalusia, AL and then moved to West Monroe, LA and then in 1972 to Ottawa, KS. They spent 30 years in Kansas before retiring to Alabama in 2003. In Ottawa, she attended North Baptist Church and she cared for many children in here in-home daycare.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, and fishing and camping at Pomona State Park.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; a sister, Becky Gray; a brother, Gilbert Conner; and a great-granddaughter, Hadley Selman.

She is survived by two sons: Mike (Kay) Selman, Ottawa, Ks and Larry (Brenda) Selman, Andalusia, AL; five grandchildren: Ashley Selman, Hayden (Jamie) Selman, Mikayla Lines (Chris), Nathan Selman, and Alexandria Selman: three great-grandchildren: Colton Selman and Paxton Selman, and Ruby Lines: one brother: Bobby (Sherry) Connor, Andalusia, AL: and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 2nd, 2020 at 11AM at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Family will meet with friends at the cemetery. Covid-19 guidelines will be followed by keeping a distance of six feet from one another.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of Pomona State Park.
