JUANETTE SHIREY

Juanette Shirey died May 21, 2020.

She was born Oct. 25, 1940, in Sebring to Jimmie Prescott and Beatrice (Thomas) Prescott.

She was a member of Mobley Creek Baptist Church in Alabama.

A resident of Okeechobee most of her life, she enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening, and canning.

She served as the Okeechobee Tax Collector for twelve years and was employed there for thirty years.

Mrs. Shirey was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Shirey; and her brother-in-law, James Walker.

She is survived by her son, Gene Cooper (Jessaka), of Okeechobee; daughter, Julie Waldron, of Okeechobee; grandchildren, Taylor, Aubrey, Aidyn, Grady, Derek, and Tyler; great granddaughters, Isabella and Lilly; brother, Seller Prescott (Donna), of Lake Placid; sisters, Faye Walker and Gail Norman (Marshall), all of Okeechobee; bonus children, Michael Shirey (Candy), Kim Godwin (Wayne), Deb Armstrong (Joe), all of Alabama, Amanda Kahoe (Michael), of Cuttler Bay, and Suzanne Churlick (Michael), of Tennessee; and bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren, Heather, Nathan, Daniel, Keith, Christopher, Conner, Hunter, Fisher, MadiBeth, Cullen, Ella, Savannah, Lily, Ryan, Bethany, Megan, and Brandon.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Tue., May 26, 2020, at Basinger Cemetery.

JOHN DONALD BUTTS

Mr. John Donald Butts, age 75 of Red Level, AL, passed away on Sun., May 24, 2020, at Andalusia Manor. Graveside services will be held at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery on Wed., May 27, 2020 at 10 a.m., with Bro. Winston Foshee officiating the service. Family will meet with friends at the cemetery.

He is survived by his sons, John Butts (Tammy) of Andalusia, AL; Frank Butts (Debi) of Red Level, AL; T.J. Cooper (Makayla) of Enterprise, AL; daughters, Tammy Byrd (Dereck) of Loango, AL; Tonya Williams (Scott) of Demopolis, AL; Amanda Dubose (David) of Brewton, AL; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sister, Diane Guy of Pensacola, FL; brother, Terry Craig (Julie) of Andalusia, AL; sisters, Pat Graham of Rose Hill AL, Charlene Williams of Andalusia, AL, Stephanie Mancil (Tim) of Andalusia, AL, and Shirley Hall (Sid) of Pensacola, FL.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Butts and Maude Spurlock, one grandchild, Little Mack Byrd Jr., sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Larry Martin, and son-in-law, Randall Keith Walden.

MALCOM DAKOTA “DEE” BRUNDIDGE

Mr. Malcom Dakota “Dee” Brundidge, age 20, of Opp, Alabama joined his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.

“Dee” is survived by his parents, Holley L. Brundidge & Malcom S. Brundidge; sisters, Heaven, Haylee, Hannah and Farren; brother, Montana; maternal grandparents, Faye & Eugene Lee; paternal grandparents, Malcom & Mary Brundidge-Tillis; paternal great-grandmother, Catherine Tillis; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Malcom Dakota “Dee” Brundidge will be held at 2 p.m., Fri., May 29, 2020, from Westview Baptist Church with burial following in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Willie Edwards, Caleb Davidson, Benji Jordan and Shawn Mitchell will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Ty’Keenan White, Hennis Washington, Orlando Lacey, Jordan Creech, Darian Germany and Shawn Tillis. Visitation will be held at Wyatt Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6 until 8 and at Westview Baptist Church one hour prior to service time.

The family requests the omission of flowers and donations be made to Wyatt Funeral Home to help the family cover the funeral expenses.
