City of Andalusia power crews are working to restore power outages where it is safe to do so.
“Until the winds are consistently below 30 mph, we cannot safely put linemen in bucket trucks,” stated the city in a Facebook post.
Department manager Jeff Puckett said there are about 1,000 customers without power at present.
“However, help is on the way! A crew is en route from Decatur, Ala., and will assist local crews in getting power restored as soon as the storm passes through. Stay safe.”
