Andalusia Health has announced that they will be proceeding with COVID-19 vaccinations.

Hospital officials confirmed an initial allocation of COVID-19 vaccines have been received and healthcare workers are now in the process of distributing them in accordance with prioritization guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the federal government and the State of Alabama.

“Vaccine administration has begun with our frontline healthcare workers and we have already began administering doses today,” read a statement from the hospital. “Once the vaccine becomes more broadly available, we strongly encourage our community to get vaccinated. Andalusia Health is pleased to be taking this next exciting step toward ending the pandemic and advancing our mission of making communities healthier.”
