The Andalusia Animal Shelter is closed to the public until January 21.

Chief Paul Hudson said that someone who visited the shelter this week has tested positive for COVID-19. Our employees will isolate from the public out of an abundance of caution, but will continue to care for the shelter animals.

When the shelter reopens on January 21, it will operate on an “by appointment only” schedule. Appointments can be made by calling 334-222-8705.

Meanwhile, the animal control officer will continue to deal with problem animals. Anyone needing assistance should call the APD at 222-1155.
