Obituary for Thomas Wiggins

Mr. Thomas Mitchell Wiggins, age 86 of Andalusia, peacefully entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 27, 2021, surrounded by his loving family at his residence.

Mr. Wiggins was born to Trammel Mitchell Wiggins & Adelia Harrison Wiggins of the Sanford Community on January 5, 1935. He and his two older siblings were raised in Covington County and attended Sanford School.

For the past 43 years, Mr. Wiggins along with his wife Peggy, have owned and operated T&P Auto Sales in Andalusia along with long-time Lot Manager Billy Bickley. Over these years, Thomas, Peggy & Billy have had the privilege to meet so many people in and around the Andalusia area. The business thrived because of the numerous customers that relied on them for their automotive needs. Thomas truly appreciated each and every employee and customer through the years. Billy has been with T&P Auto Sales since 1979 and holds a special place in heart of the Wiggins Family.

Thomas is survived by his loving and loyal wife of 61 years, Peggy Spann Wiggins; his daughter, Rebecca Wiggins Etheridge of Andalusia and his son, David Thomas (Lisa) Wiggins of Andalusia. Also he’s the proud grandfather to four grandchildren: Brandon (Jessi) Carr of Andalusia, Raven (Travis) Bogart of Harvest, AL, Matthew (Lakyn) Wiggins of Andalusia and Robynn (Blaine) Wiggins-Cowan of Andalusia. He’s also been blessed with seven Great-Grandchildren which are Jackson Carr, Renleigh Carr, Cayden Thomas Wiggins, A.J. Floyd, Brently Floyd, Brycen Lee and Bri Cowan. He is also survived by numerous extended family & close friends that are very special to him; too many to list. His loving spirit will live on as he will be remembered as a devoted man to his family and friends.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, sister Virgie Evans of Pensacola, brother Vernon Wiggins of Andalusia; and son-in-law Terry Etheridge of Andalusia.

The funeral services will be held Monday, March 1, 2021 at 2pm from Andalusia Full Gospel Tabernacle (AFGT) where Mr. Wiggins has been a member for the past several years. Friends may visit beginning at Noon until time of service. Pastor John Hunt (AFGT) will officiate the service, Pastor John Eiland (Green Tree Fellowship Church) will assist and special pre-recorded music will be provided by Fresh Anointing. Graveside services will be held at Stone Lake Gardens Cemetery. Pall bearers will be Tyler Peacock, Michael Frank, James Wyatt, Jay Smith, William Lee Merrill and Donnie Williams. Foreman’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Special recognition to the caregivers and to Dayspring Hospice. They all have been so dedicated and professional during this time.
