Andalusia man injured in Savannah, Georgia

An Andalusia man was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in Savannah, Georgia.

According to the Savannah Police Department’s Traffic Investigation Unit, John Kervin, 64, of Andalusia was struck by a vehicle on Abercorn Street during the later hours of June 3. Kevin was transported to a hospital to be treated for “serious injuries.”

The preliminary investigation indicates that Kevin was attempting to walk across Abercorn Street near Echols Street around 10 p.m. when he was struck by an oncoming GMC pickup. Police said he was not in a crosswalk at the time.

The investigation is ongoing, according to Savannah police.
