Mr. John David Stroud Jr., 17, of LaGrange, Georgia, formerly of Andalusia, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 23, 2021.

A visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at Higgins Funeral Home, in LaGrange.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 27, at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Jason Thrower officiating. Interment will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the church fellowship hall.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Allison and Scott Harris of LaGrange, and his father, David Stroud, Sr. of Troy; brothers, Spencer Stroud and Wilson Stroud, step sister, Sidney Harris, and step brother, Eli Harris, all of LaGrange; maternal grandparents, Carol and David Moore of Andalusia, paternal grandparents, Vivianne and Jimmy Williams of Daphne, Alabama, and step grandmother, Sandra Harris of Alexander City; aunts and uncles, Meredith and Tim Jordan of Mandeville, Louisiana, and Jennifer and Dan Kramer of Homewood, Alabama; and cousins, Vivian and Cole Kramer of Homewood. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Wilson Stroud.

Pallbearers will be Ben Alford, Nick Harris, Matthew Morgan, Myles Purdy, and Landon Tucker, all of LaGrange; and John Bolen, Conner Dalton, Matthew Dean, Kaleb Evon, Matthew McDonald, Mitch McGlamory, Cole Morgan, and Mason Taylor, all of Andalusia. Honorary pallbearers will be students from Andalusia High School and LaGrange High School.
