Sandy Kay Norris, 62, of Andalusia, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham after an extended illness. There will be a memorial service for Sandy later when her family and friends can be together to celebrate her life.

Sandy was a loving and caring person and a devoted mother and daughter. She loved people and went the extra mile to make them feel special. Her friends were like family to her. She had a generous spirit and an infectious laugh, and she will be deeply missed. Her influence will forever remain in the lives of those who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her son, Joshua Austin Norris of Andalusia; mother, Joan Harrelson Ballard of Andalusia; one sister, Susan Carol Kerrigan of Andalusia; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Joseph and Denise Harrelson of Fort Walton Beach, Florida and David Michael and Mary Nell Harrelson of Andalusia; several nieces and nephews.

Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Clark Harrelson.

To honor Sandy, the family asks that any memorial contributions be made to help with expenses for the care of her special friend, Apollo Edgar, whom she loved so much.
