Mrs. Lura Mae Fowler, of Andalusia, passed away Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, in Mizell Memorial Hospital. She was 79.

Lura loved spending time with her family, especially around the holidays. She was an active member of Harmony Baptist Church since moving to the Harmony community in 1997. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 19, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Keith Ray officiated. Interment followed in Stone Lake Gardens Cemetery.

Survivors include son, Mark (Chandra) Fowler of Andalusia; daughter, Rachel Fowler Mayfield of Troy; brother, Daniel Lee (Debbie) Morris of Conyers, Georgia; grandsons, Matthew (Emili) Fowler of Andalusia, Christopher (Lexie) Fowler of Andalusia, Wesley Messick, Wade Messick, and Waylon Messick, all of Troy; great-grandchildren, Colton Matthew Fowler, Ella Lake Fowler, Mary Kate Fowler, Harlee Brooke Fowler, and Reid Tillman Fowler, all of Andalusia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Fowler; and her parents, Rufus L. Morris and Mary Hall Morris.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice in memory of Mrs. Lura Mae Fowler.
