Carolyn June Sublett of Dozier, Alabama passed away May 20, 2021 in Pensacola, Florida.

A memorial service will be held at the Dozier Methodist Church on Oct. 29 at 11 a.m.

Carolyn was born in Dozier to Richard Guy Sport and Annie Mae Sport (nee’ Sanders) on July 24, 1930. She graduated from Dozier High School and Troy University. She lived a life of service as an educator for 42 years.

She remembered fondly her many students at Red Level High School in Red Level and Escambia High School in Pensacola, Florida.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her father, Richard Guy Sport; her mother, Annie Mae Sport; her sister, Ann Holmes; her daughter, Melanie Lynne Sublett; and her daughter-in-law, Tamara Sublett.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Michael Sport Sublett; her daughter, Millicent Thompson; her sister, Sue Booth (Ray); and many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Michelle, her friend and caretaker.
