The Annual Andalusia Christmas Parade is scheduled to take place on Thursday, Dec. 2, with the Downtown Tree Lighting Ceremony beginning at 6 p.m. with the parade to follow at 7 p.m.

This year’s theme is “Merry and Bright.”

Line up for the parade will be at the Andalusia High School stadium parking lot and the route will be from the First Baptist Church on East Three Notch Street, through the Court Square, and ending on River Falls Street.

The Grand Marshalls for the parade this year are members of the World Series Champion Andalusia 10U baseball team.

For those that would like to stay home and watch the parade, the Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce will be live streaming the parade on their Facebook page.

Simultaneously, the Andalusia Area Chamber will be lining up float and vehicle entries for the annual Christmas parade in the AHS stadium parking lot.

Fans should note that once the parade begins moving from the line-up to East Three Notch at approximately 6:45, traffic will be blocked on First Avenue, part of Third Street, and on Third Avenue. This will include the entrance to the AHS parking lot on the east side (gymnasium side) of Old Main.

Fans are encouraged to make plans to arrive early and find a good spot to watch the parade from.
