The Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) elected Geoffrey M. Williams, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Cunningham Bounds, its 2022 President-Elect. ALA is the premier legal management association in the business of law with nearly 9,000 members from 30 countries involved in managing law firms, corporate legal departments, and government legal agencies.

The Association identifies and provides solutions to the most strategic and operational challenges its members face today, while preparing them for the opportunities and challenges of tomorrow. ALA is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2021.

Mr. Williams has been the COO and CFO of Cunningham Bounds, LLC in Mobile, Alabama since 2009. The firm has an extensive history of successful high-stakes litigation, has achieved some of the largest verdicts and settlements in U.S. history for its clients against domestic and foreign defendants, and has earned extensive national recognition for its trial and appellate practices.

One of 400 Certified Legal Managers (CLM) worldwide, Mr. Williams graduated from Andalusia High School in 1985. He earned his undergraduate degree from Huntingdon College, an MBA from Louisiana State University Shreveport, a Master’s degree from Princeton Seminary and also a law firm management degree from George Washington University. He has held leadership positions in several organizations and is a public speaker for local and national organizations and events.

The law firm of Cunningham Bounds, LLC, founded in 1958, is based in Mobile, Alabama and has been representing plaintiffs for over 60 years. Today the firm continues its tradition of representing victims in cases involving catastrophic personal injury, industrial accidents, defective products, truck and automobile accidents, and medical malpractice. The firm also has expertise in business litigation, complex litigation, and national and state class action litigation involving defective products and consumer fraud.
