Mrs. Sue Messick Reeves, 88, of Andalusia, passed away Saturday, Dec. 25, 2021, at her residence.

Mrs. Reeves was born July 30, 1933, in Andalusia to Jessie Joseph Messick and Epsie Eiland Messick. She was married to Grady T. Reeves until his death. She was a long-time faithful member of West Highland Baptist Church having served as church pianist for over 70 years. During her working years, she worked in the banking business having retired from Regions Banks after 35 years of service.

Funeral services were Tuesday. Dec. 28, 11 a.m., from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Stone Lake Cemetery. Visitation was from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Foreman Funeral Home. Bro. Larry Stewart and Bro. Leroy Cole officiated the service.  Special music was provided by Katie King accompanied by Louisa Baker.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Cliff Maddox; four grandchildren, Joey and Lindsey Reeves of Andalusia, Suzanne and Shane Lunsford of Opp, Lucas (Brooke) Maddox of Andalusia, and Jessie (Brandon) Carr of Andalusia; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Grady T. Reeves; one son, Tommy Reeves; and sister, Charlotte Fuller, and husband, Martin.

Pallbearers will be Joey Reeves, Lucas Maddox, Shane Lunsford, Brandon Carr, Tim Bracewell, and Jay Harper.
