Jenni Ingram has always had a special bond with the Lord and wanted to stay connected with people in a spiritual way despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

“When everyone was being quarantined in 2020, a friend of mine and I discussed spiritual issues and were discussing ways that people could stay connected. That is where this idea was born. I love to write and suggested a Facebook Live Bible study. God took it from there. The need for people to stay connected during a very unusual time of isolation inspired me to begin this wonderful idea. I didn’t realize at the time that the pandemic was just the tip of the iceberg. There are so many people who watch and are homebound for many different reasons,” Ingram said.

In a time where we never know what to expect on any given day, she said doing this means so much to her.

“It has really given me a purpose in my life. I had two hemorrhagic strokes in November of 2019. One was cerebral, and one was occipital. I couldn’t see, speak very well, walk, you name it, so I asked God, ‘Okay, what now? What can I do when I grow up?’ I was in a very dark place literally and didn’t know what to do. While in the hospital, I couldn’t do anything but listen to Christian music on the TV. I couldn’t see it to watch it. Then, a song called ‘Way Maker’ by Leeland came on, and that told my heart He was there in my darkness making the way I was just along for the ride. The neurologist came in the next day and told us that I should not have survived one of them let alone two of them. I knew then God had a reason for my survival.”

Her Bible studies can be viewed on Facebook Live Monday through Friday at 10 a.m. through her personal page, Jenni Ingram. “My go to is the New International Version (NIV) of the Bible, although I use a lot of them. I was turned on to that one when I was very frustrated trying to read through the Bible and just couldn’t understand the King James Version (KJV). I was a new believer and was convinced God didn’t want me. My pastor thought that was hilarious and said no, the devil was just trying to confuse me and told me to try NIV. I’ve been there ever since,” she said.

Ingram referred to Matthew 6:33-34 as her life verse, which reads, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has trouble of its own.” She said that was her life verse for a very good reason. “I seem to have struggles every day, but I know if I keep seeking God first and doing His will, He will honor it and see me through.”

She hopes people will understand the messages she speaks about on a daily basis. “Hell is real, and eternal suffering is no joke. I cannot imagine anyone choosing that over the forgiveness and eternal life that Jesus provides through salvation and baptism. I hope those watching gain insight, peace, comfort, hope, joy, and salvation, which are the basics to get through this life. Whatever God teaches me in my quiet time is what I focus on. A lot of the time, it’s the need for those five things. There is so much pain around us, and I just hope people gain some relief from the studies,” Ingram said.

Ingram and her family attend The Well Church, which is led by Pastor Benjy Wilson. “Our church is a lot more than just four walls and doors. We are what makes the church, and if you don’t have us, you don’t have a church. We have people attend who don’t really like going to church, and they enjoy the services we provide. We are in the process of relocating to a new building on Straughn School Road right past Dunns Bridge Road.” She is married to her husband of 20 years Billy Ingram and has one daughter, Samantha Sanders; son-in-law, Jeremy Sanders; and two granddaughters, 10-year-old Sara and 4-year-old Raelynn. “My granddaughters are my world, and I always enjoy spending time with them,” she said.

She is originally from Annapolis, Maryland, and now resides in the Gantt community.
