Miss Mary Rebecca Johnson, known to many as “Beck,” age 78, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022 at Andalusia Manor.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 26, 10 a.m., at First Baptist Church of Andalusia with Dr. Kevin Wilburn officiating and Foreman Funeral Home directing. Special music will be provided by Don Lingle and John Beasley. The interment will follow at Opp City Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her parents.

Miss Johnson is survived by her two sisters and brother-in-law, Genia and Earl Dorman of Andalusia and Andrea Riley of Evans, Georgia; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert A. Johnson Jr. and wife, Aurora of Union Grove, Alabama, J. Alan Johnson and wife Denize of Spencer, Tennessee; her nieces and nephews, Kenneth E. (Lisa) Dorman, Wade (Alice) Padgett, Audrey (Brian) Barker, Paul (Ashley) Johnson, Jodie (Dustin) Rymer, Ashley Padgett, Jamie Johnson; many great-nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Moon.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dr. R. A. Johnson and Mary Black Johnson; her stepmother, Mary Nell Johnson; a sister-in-law, Sandra M. Johnson; one brother-in-law, Mike O. Riley; and nephews, Baby Brock Dorman and Brock Dalton Dorman.

The family wishes to send special thanks to the staff and nurses of Andalusia Manor for the care and attention she received and a very special thanks to Adrianna Carpenter for all of her kindness she showed to Beck.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Dorman, Haydn Cone, London Dorman, Dessie Manning, Jimmy Barton, and John Jay.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne King, Joel King, Harry King, and Mark King.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Andalusia Beyond 2020, 700 East Three Notch Street, Andalusia, AL  36420.
