Mr. Lenton Morris Herring of Andalusia passed away Monday, March 7, 2022, at his residence. He was 77.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 12, noon, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Billy Boles will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Bethel Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with these arrangements.

He is survived by his daughters, Trudy (Mike) Obenhofer, Teresa Taylor, and Tammy Slaughter all of Andalusia; ex-wife/friend, Barbara Herring; sisters, Janet (Albert) Carter of Hertford, North Carolina and Joyce Harris of Salcha, Alaska; brother, James Herring of Virginia; sisters-in-law, Judy Herring and Sandra Stokes; grandchildren, Harrison Obenhofer, Jessica (Marcus) Stacks, Nicholas (Jessi) Obenhofer, Cassandra Obenhofer, Kody Taylor, Marissa (J.D.) Whitt, Erica (PK) Steele, Jeffrey (Katelin) Slaughter and Courtney Slaughter, great-grandchildren, Kaylee Armstrong, Hunter Stacks, James Cassady, Addyson Kilpatrick, Brooklyn Griggs, Paisley Steele, Audrey Taylor, Finnleigh Taylor, Madeline Steele, John Bradley Obenhofer, Emmitt Obenhofer, Elora Slaughter and Amelia Whitt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Herring and Evelyn Butler Herring; brothers, Lemuel Herring, Arlis Herring, and Edward Herring.
