Mrs. Joann Welch Geohagan, 92, of Florala, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Florala Health and Rehab.

Funeral services for Mrs. Geohagan were Thursday, March 17, 2 p.m., at Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Florala. Brother Tim Willis officiated and interment followed at the church cemetery.

Visitation was Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Baptist Church before the service.

She is survived by her daughter, JoEllen Geohagan Sellers of Red Level; her grandsons, Jeff Sellers (Jennifer) of Red Level, Joshua Sellers (Lucy) of Birmingham, Jason Sellers of Birmingham; her great-grandchildren, Hannah, Jacob, James, Anna Frances Sellers; her brother and sister-in-law, Ben Welch (Roxanna) of St. Augustine, Florida; her nephews, Rusty Waltman (Emma), Harold Welch (Cindy), Harris Welch (Lorelai); her great-nephew and niece, Ricky Waltman, Amanda Noles, and other special family members, Norman and Sharon Hobson, Mary Elizabeth Hobson, Hunter, and Ali Hobson, Forest, Edyn and Merritt Hobson.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Shot” Geohagan; parents, Frances Mae and Charlie Welch; sister, Caroline Welch Waltman; son-in-law, Jon Sellers; and great-grandson, Jonathan Harold Sellers.

Pallbearers were Jeff Sellers, Josh Sellers, Jason Sellers, Jacob Sellers, James Sellers, Hunter Hobson, Ricky Waltman, Harold Welch, and Harris Welch.

Honorary pallbearers were Kevin Goolsby, Ron Hargrove, Jimmy Carnley, Pat Willis, David Willis, Andrew Taylor, and Randy Taylor.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials for W.S. Harlan School Library, Lockhart, Alabama, and W.S. Harlan Elementary School, 1641 Mohegan St., Lockhart, 36455.
