Andalusia Tire recognized for longevity

Andalusia Tire was recognized last week for its 55 years as a franchise partner with Bandag Retreading.
Andalusia Tire is among the oldest franchises associated with Bandag, with the oldest being 63 years. Bandag is a subsidiary of Bridgestone.
“It’s an amazing accomplishment,” said Scott Traver, a region manager for Bridgestone who presented the award.
Andalusia Tire opened in 1950 and was purchased by Jimmy Caton in 1974. After his passing in 2003, his three sons — Jim, Greg and Todd — run the business as equal partners.
“We are very proud to be associated with a company like Bandag,” Jim Caton said. “Bandag is a huge part of our business and we are proud of this recognition.”
