Pastor Helen Marie (Peek) Grissett, 79, a resident of the Coldwater Community, Andalusia passed away peacefully at home at 9:45 p.m. on Sunday May 15, 2022.

A service was held at The Brooks Assembly of God Church Saturday May 21, 11 a.m., with graveside service following at the Brooks Cemetery. Bro.Simmons and Bro. Lewis Henderson officiating and Foreman Funeral Home of Andalusia directing.

Helen served God at West Highland and Brooks Assembly of God Churches, her family, church family and community for over 60 years. She was always giving to others serving them up with food for body and soul. Visitation began at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday May 21, until time of service at the church.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, H.C Peek and Estell (Godwin) Peek; husband of 60 years, Emmett Grissett; her brother, Farris Peek; and a sister, Mary Nell (Peek) Williamson.

She is survived by her brother, Robert Peek; two children, Andy (Bettie) Grissett and daughter, Aretta (Douglas) McDonald; sisters, Shirley (Rayborn) Peek, Maxine (Henderson) Peek, and Rachel (Grissett) Cottle; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
