Kimberly Jacobs Sasser, 34, of Andalusia, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan.

Funeral services for Kimberly will be Saturday, June 4, 2 p.m., at The Family Life Center of Carolina Baptist Church with Brother Jack Armstrong, Brother Jeff Taylor and Brother Garrett Davis officiating. Interment will follow service at Carolina Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday prior to funeral service at The Family Life Center of Carolina Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Chris Sasser of Andalusia; her children, John Christopher and Kenneth Cole Sasser; her foster children, Layke and Londyn Keller; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Jacobs of Wing, Alabama; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Beth (John) Colvin of Andalusia, Amy (Heath) Rolling of Andalusia; her brother and sister-in-law, Brian (Michele) Jacobs of Andalusia; her father-in-law, Mackey Daniel Sasser of Dothan; her mother-in-law, Lynn Wardlaw of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; her maternal grandmother, Myrtis Cotton of Wing; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Jacobs of Andalusia; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Madison (Tyler) Flowers of Nashville, Tennessee, and her special nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Robbie Ballard, Dallas Cotton, Levi Cotton, Chris Adams, Lee Adams, Sandy Cotton, and Larry Stallings.

Her family will be accepting flowers.

Kimberly Alane means precious awakening—no better fit could have been given to her. Kimberly lived a vibrant life, full of energy and love. She was gifted in so many ways. She was our makeup artist, hairdresser, florists, gardener, party planner, journalist, thrift shopper, and as she would say “the FUN family member.” Her lively, strong spirit was contagious to us all, and her radiant smile lit up the room. She lived out the quote by Jim Elliot that says, “Wherever you are, be all there. Live to the hilt every situation you believe to be the will of God.” In her strength she was also full of compassion and tenderness. She saw people through the eyes of Jesus and was broken by the hurts of others. Always ready and willing to serve, she gave of herself selflessly. Kimberly was the definition of beauty. She smiled through unimaginable pain and shined her light until the very end of her earthly life. Her faith was unshakable because she knew in Whom she believed. Her eternity was sure. She found herself filled with an armor suitable for victory; filled with a peace that passes all understanding and a joy that could not be shaken. Her life was her platform. Her feet were planted on the solid rock—her Savior. Kimberly would say to us all that life is too short to waste a single breath. To not store up for ourselves treasures on earth, where moths destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But to store up for ourselves treasures in Heaven. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 Kimberly has met Jesus! She is HOME! And as she said, “I will see you there!”
