Mr. Vernell Berry, 83, of Red Level, passed away Monday, June 6, 2022, at his residence.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 9, 2 p.m., from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Bushfield Cemetery. Brother Tyler Ingram and Brother Tyree Bowen will officiate the service. Visitation will begin Thursday at 1 p.m. Thursday at Foreman Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ballard of Red Level; two sons, Aubrey Frank Berry and wife Teresa of River Falls and Joseph James Berry of Red Level; one daughter, Melda Berry Robinson and husband DeWayne of Andalusia; five bonus children, Willie (Hazel) Ballard of Andalusia, Wilma (Greg) Sport of Dozier, Rickey (Sherry) Ballard of Dothan, Rudon (Toni) Ballard of Andalusia, and Sandra (Patrick) Best of Luverne; 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Leray and Lucinell Berry of Red Level; and sister, Frances and Douglas Castleberry of Andalusia.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Berry; parents, Aubrey and Sarah Kervin Berry; a brother, Arell Berry; sisters, Willene Berry, Hazel Maraman, and Madine Lee; nephew, Randall Berry; and niece, Teresa Jones.

Pallbearers will be Willie Ballard, Rickey Ballard, Rudon Ballard, Terry Bulger, Will Maraman, and Mark Maraman.
