Mrs. Velender Jean Butler, age 90, of Andalusia, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in Mizell Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Butler is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Butler and Joy; brother, Donald Hall and wife, Charlotte; and grandchildren, Johnny Butler, Jerry Butler, Jackie Butler, and Jesse Butler. She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Butler; parents, Lillie Daughtry Hall and Jim Hall; son, James C. Butler, Jr.; and siblings, Connie Bell Fleming, Mamie Tidwell, Maggie Dubose, Ileater Dubose, Sabra Dean Sumlin, and Patricia Bryan.

Funeral services for Mrs. Butler will be held Saturday, July 16, 11 a.m., from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Larry Stewart will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Heather Bryan Scholarship Fund at Southern Independent Bank in Opp or Andalusia.
