Ms. Lela Jo Grace left her earthly home on July 23, 2022. She was born on January 6, 1937, and was a proud graduate of Pleasant Home School where she enjoyed cheerleading and basketball. Mrs. Grace was lovingly known as “Mama Jo” to many who knew her. She worked as a pharmacy tech for more than 50 years and found a permanent work home at Darby’s Village Pharmacy as their first associate in 1998. She loved working and being around people so much that she never retired.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 27, 11 a.m., from Foreman Funeral Home with Brother Barry Wilkinson and David Darby officiating the service. Interment will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Foreman Funeral Home.

Ms. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, B. L. “Buck” Grace; parents, Vance and Fannie Douglas; one brother, Durwood Douglas; and her grandson, Jason Grace.

She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Seay; one grandson, Brian (Patty) Seay; and a great-grandson, Austin Seay.

Mama Jo was a beloved member of the community and she will be missed.
