Mr. Preston H. Boutwell Sr., age 81, of Opp, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, August 8, 2022. He passed away at his home surrounded by family and friends.

Mr. Boutwell is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley Alford Boutwell; daughters, Leigh Boutwell Hall and Carol Boutwell Blair and husband, Mitch; son, Preston H. Boutwell Jr. and wife, Jan; sister, Edna Owens; grandchildren, Ashley Hall Blount and Chris, Garrett Blair and Molly, Anna Hall, Amber Boutwell Campbell and Grayson, Gracyn Blair King and Alex, Ansley Hall, Garyn Blair; Tray Boutwell and Gunter Whetstone and Becky; great-grandchildren, Levi Preston Blount, Amelia Ann Blair, Meredith Blount, McKinley Blount, Maxyn Blair, Lola Mae Blount, Lauren Reese Campbell and Hunt Whetstone; sister-in-law, Rhonda Whetstone and husband, Tony; brother-in-law, Bobby Ray Owens; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel Lee Stinson Boutwell and Clemmie Roscoe Boutwell; sisters, Irone Sumblin, Lavonia Thomas and Julia Eddins; and brothers, Curt Boutwell and Lorenza Boutwell.

Funeral services for Mr. Boutwell will be held Thursday, August 11, at 10 a.m., from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Wyatt Funeral Home. Tommy Green and Chris Dunham will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Garrett Blair, Tray Boutwell, Gunter Whetstone, Alex King, Chris Blount, Grayson Campbell, Ashton Patel and Randy Bowers.
