Richard LaWayne Adams of Deatsville, formerly of Andalusia, passed away Sept. 7, 2022, at his residence. He was 81.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, Sept. 13, 10 a.m., at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Eugene Meadows officiated. Serving as pallbearers were Tim Adams, Sheldon Adams, Steve Walker, Timmy Walker, Jimmy Green, and Marvin Hicks. Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

Left to cherish his memory are, his wife of 56 years, Linda Hicks Adams of Deatsville; daughter, Nikki Bracewell (Kenneth) of Deatsville; brother, Larry Adams (Patsy) of Andalusia; grandchildren, Evan Bracewell (Keli) of Tokyo, Japan, and Eden Arnold (Jordan) of Millbrook, Alabama; and one great-grandson, Elias Arnold.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Erby Adams and Addie Elsie Jordan; brother, Darrel Adams; and sister, Joyce Henley.

He served in the Army National Guard and retired from Power South (formerly Alabama Electric) as a meter supervisor. He will be greatly missed.
