Jimmie Keen, age 80, passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022.

Jimmie was born August 29, 1942, the son of Ballard Keen and Nellie Horn Keen. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1962 and proudly served his country for 27 years. During that time he diligently worked his way through the Air Force ranks to Chief Master Sergeant. Jimmie spent his last years working in NORAD, as active duty and retired. Then went to KAMAN Science and retired there after eight years. In his spare time, Jimmie enjoyed fishing, nature, and traveling. He was preceded in death by his father, Ballard Keen; mother, Nellie Horn Keen; brothers, Noah Keen and Larry Keen; and a sister, Joyce Fuller.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lucie Keen; daughters, Sherie Moak and husband James and their son, Cody Moak; and grandsons, Keaton Moak and Raiden Moak, Miranda Cole and husband James.

Funeral services for Mr. Keen will be Wednesday, Sept. 21, 10 a.m., at Evans Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour before services. Interment with military honors will be at North Creek Cemetery.
