The Alabama Community College Conference recently announced its Fall 2022 Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll with 47 LBW Saints represented on the list.

There were a total of 1,104 student-athletes who received the honor by earning a 3.0 GPA or higher.

“LBW’s goal has and always will be to provide student-athletes the resources they need to succeed in their respective sport but most importantly in the classroom. To make the Commissioner’s List speaks volume of the sacrifice each athlete gives to their education and sport, and we are pleased to have as many athletes represented on the list. We look forward to their continued success in the classroom,” LBWCC President Dr. Brock Kelley said.

Volleyball was the most-represented sport on the list with 13 Saints honored by the ACCC. Those student-athletes are Caleigh Davis, Amy Garner, Alexandra Green, Maggie Haynes, Zationna Horne, Rhiannon Keck, Ashton McCullar, Briana McLaughlin, Adriane Pico, Maddie Rasmussen, Lexi Straughan, Jaden Williams, and Brianna Wilson.

Baseball and softball each had 10 representatives named to the list. They are Shelton Arroyo, Lane Cook, Mason Dubose, Abbey Glidewell, Lauren Hudson, Anna Hull, Austin Johnston, Dalton Kuhn, Nick Lawrence, Johnola Myers, Kendall Perry, Hannah Phillips, Jackson Pierce, Tyler Ritchie, Walt Spurlin, Riley Sweeney, Emily Taylor, Cassie Willis, Jake Wilson, and McKynlee Young.

LBW’s eight men’s basketball student-athletes Malik Beauford, Zion Bourgeois, Johnny Coleman, Anthony Copeland, Caden Henderson, Ariel Mauricio, Jonathan Steward, and Chandler Winston.

The Saints’ women’s basketball list consisted of Joye Anderson, Jakyla Diawara, Olivia McLaughlin, Daniela Pool, Nia Similien, and Trinity Williamson.

“These student-athletes should be proud of themselves as they have balanced academics with practice and games. I am very proud of them along with the faculty and staff at our amazing colleges for the work they do in preparing our student-athletes for life outside of athletics,” said ACCC Commissioner Dean Myrick.
