Mikel crowned Miss Memolusia 2023 at Andalusia High School

Andalusia High School senior Olivia Mikel was crowned Miss Memolusia 2023 at the Memolusia Pageant on Feb. 4, 2023.

Olivia received a $2500 scholarship given by the Thomas Hugghins Family in memory of his mother, Faye Patterson Hugghins, who was Miss Memolusia and Homecoming Queen in 1958.

She is the daughter of Amy and Anthony Mikel. She was the captain for the majorettes and a member of the volleyball and softball teams. She plans to attend LBWCC and then transfer to Auburn University to pursue a degree in animal science. Olivia was crowned by Miss Memolusia 2022, Marion Starnes.

First alternate Catherine Pettie received a $1000 scholarship from George Barnes. Second alternate Mollie Furr received a $500 scholarship from CCB Community Bank. Third alternate Sarah Williams received a $250 scholarship from Megan and Jason Sasser. The other senior winners were Miss Congeniality Charlea-Jo West, Miss Photogenic Catherine Pettie, and Questionnaire Brianna Yelder.

The eleventh-grade winners were Junior Beauties Anna Martin and Ava Tomberlin, Finalists Caroline Reeves and Alyssa Bozeman, Miss Congeniality Ava Tomberlin, and Miss Photogenic Anna Martin.

The tenth-grade winners were Sophomore Beauties Alexis Stallworth and Ella Ward, Finalists Karis Dubose, Kinsley Stovall, Graycie Sansom, and Maecy Starnes, Miss Congeniality Graycie Sansom, and Miss Photogenic Ella Ward.

The ninth-grade winners were Freshman Beauties Khayria Reynolds and Jaidyn Berry, Miss Congeniality Mackenzie Sanford, and Miss Photogenic Jaidyn Berry.

Madi Everett was crowned Junior Miss Memolusia 2023 at the Memolusia Pageant on Feb. 4. She is the daughter of Ashley and Hunter Cross. Madi was crowned by Jr. Miss Memolusia 2022 Jaidyn Berry.

The other eighth-grade winners were First Alternate Madeline Jessie, Second Alternate Macy Tucker, Third Alternate Marley Ellen Mullins, Miss Congeniality Madi Everett, and Miss Photogenic Everly Mack.

The seventh-grade winners were Seventh Grade Beauties Bella Ralls and Sylvie King, Finalists Claire Mauer, Finley Hilson, Emma Beth Ennis, Banks Merrell, Brooklyn Townsend, Raeghen Curry, Hannah Fleming, and Alexandria Carroll, Miss Congeniality Cozy Studstill, and Miss Photogenic Brooklyn Townsend.

The high school emcees were Cameron Johnson and Tara Ward. The high school escorts were Conner Brooks, Cason Clarke, Jake Coon, TyCameron Jackson, CJ Sinkfield, Caleb Smith, and Caden Stewart. The escorts wowed the audience with an energetic escort dance while the judges deliberated.

The junior high emcees were Isabella Kipp and Caden Stewart. Junior high escorts were Trent Batten, William Grimes, Sawyer Hardy, Noah Popwell, Ocean Reeves, and Grover Wells.
