Miss Linda Clare Bates, 82, of Red Level, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023, at her residence.

Graveside services were Friday, Feb. 17, 3 p.m., at Fairmount Cemetery with Brother Josh Kyser officiating and Foreman Funeral Home directing. No formal visitation was scheduled; the family visited with friends at the cemetery.

She is survived by several cousins on the Bates and Terry sides of her family including Dianne Branum of Opp; Demond Nolan and Andy Nolan of Red Level; Lisa Veasey of Andalusia; Karen Baggett, Elaine Booker, and Kenny Bates of Evergreen; and many other family members.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Bates and Verna Terry Bates, and her special friend, Arnold Brooks.
