St. Mary’s plans three community events, seeks choir members

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church will host three community events for the public this week.

Father Eric Mancil will be officially installed as the new rector of St. Mary’s on Sunday, Feb. 19, at 4 p.m. The church will hold “Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper” on Tuesday, Feb. 21, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person or $15 per family. Ash Wednesday services are scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 22, at noon and 6 p.m. Rector Mancil will also be at the square in downtown Andalusia for an “Ashes on the Square” event Wednesday from 7:30 until 9:30 a.m. for anyone wishing to participate.

St. Mary’s also seeks choir members for the music program. Wednesday rehearsals are at 5:15 p.m. with Sunday worship at 9:15 a.m. Individuals who are interested in joining the choir should contact Organist/Choirmaster John Beasley at music@stmarysandalusia.org.
