Mr. Clermon R. Smith, age 83, of the Rose Hill community passed away on March 10, 2023. He was born in Covington County on March 13, 1939.

Funeral services were Tuesday, March 14, 11 a.m., at Good News Chapel in Rose Hill with Rev. Jay Driver officiating, and interment followed at Good News Cemetery. The family received friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at Good News.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dovie Smith; daughter, Teresa (Billy) Smith of Rose Hill; grandchildren: Stacey Wise of Opp, Chad (Jamie) Wallace of Texas, Josh (Brittany) Wallace of Kinston; great-grandchildren: Alex (Dustin) Barefoot, Austin Wise, Adrian Kelley, Abby Kelley, Avery Kelley, Aaron Kelley, Karlee Wallace, Remi Kate Wallace, Ayden Wallace, Matthew Wallace, Ethan Wallace, Londynn Wallace; three great-great-grandchildren: Brynleigh Worley, Whitley Barefoot, Jackson Barefoot; sister, Edna Fuqua of Andalusia; brother, Woodrow (Mary Sue) Smith of Rose Hill; sister-in-law, Delayney Smith of Brantley; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernest and Essie Smith; sister and brother-in-law, Lois Mitchell Brannon and LaFelt Brannon; brother, William C. Smith; brother-in-law, William H. Fuqua; sons, PeeWee Wallace and Gary Wallace; and great-grandchild, D.J. Wise.

Flowers were accepted by the family.
