University of Alabama student David Dillard of Andalusia is participating in UA’s Cooperative Education Program during the summer 2023 semester. Dillard is working for Neptune Technology Group Inc.

In the Cooperative Education Program, students alternate periods of full-time study with periods of full-time employment. This program offers work related to the academic major or career interests of each student.

While in school, students carry regular course schedules. While on co-op, they work with professionals in their fields who supervise their training and work. At work, co-op students earn competitive salaries and may receive benefit packages in addition to valuable job experience. Participants maintain their full-time student status while at work and have priority registration status each semester through graduation.

Knowles completes Pathfinder Program
Logan Knowles of Samson completed Troy University’s Pathfinder Program during the Spring of 2023.

The Pathfinder Program is a collaborative partnership between Career Services and Academic Advising designed to help students feel confident in their major and career path.

Students who complete the program must have taken Troy 1102: Major Exploration & Planning, completed the Focus2/Career Coach Assessment, and scheduled a meeting with their Pathfinder Advisor and declare their new major.

Kelley wins Outstanding Undergraduate Award at Troy
Jeremy Kelley of Samson was among the students recognized for outstanding achievements in academics, leadership and service during Troy University’s annual Honors Convocation.

Kelley received the College of Arts and Sciences Outstanding Student Undergraduate Award.

The Honors Convocation was held on Friday, April 21, at the Dothan Campus. Dr. Don Jeffrey, Dothan Campus Vice Chancellor, gave the welcome address, and the event was preceeded by a reception for the honorees and their guests.
