Mrs. Kathleen H. Walker, of Andalusia, Alabama, formerly of Crossville, Tennessee, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025, in the Andalusia Manor Nursing Home. A graveside service was held in Crossville, Tennessee, at the Crossville City Cemetery on Monday, Feb. 24, with Billy Boles officiating.

Mrs. Walker was the daughter of Verden Lewis Hedgecoth and Minnie Pugh Hedgecoth. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Sidney Hedgecoth and Edsol Hedgecoth, a sister Jeroline White, a niece Rhonda Hedgecoth, and a nephew Eddie Hedgecoth. Mrs. Walker was also preceded in death by her husband Mark Williams and also her husband Max Walker.

Mrs. Walker is survived by a niece, Joan Walker of Fairborn, Ohio, a nephew, Matthew Hedgecoth of Crossville, Tennessee; great-nephews Matthew Hedgecoth Jr. and Toby Hedgecoth, and two step-nieces Angela Hudson of Crossville, Tennessee, and Raygene Lay of Knoxville, Tennessee.

Mrs. Walker retired from the Y-12 Plant in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, before relocating to Andalusia, Alabama, where she worked for the City of Andalusia Utilities Department. She was a secretary at First Presbyterian Church for 25 years.

Mrs. Walker was a faithful member of Adellum Baptist Church, where she was the organist and served as church clerk for many years. She was dearly loved by many and will be greatly missed.

There will be a memorial service for Mrs. Kathleen H. Walker on Monday, March 3, 2025, 10 a.m., at Adellum Baptist Church.
