Arnold R. Clewell III, age 70, of Andalusia passed away after a long battle with cancer, with his son at his side.

Memorial services for Mr. Clewell will be held Thursday, March 13, 6 p.m., at Good News Baptist Church, 29812 Good News Chapel Rd, in Dozier.

Visitation will be held from 5-6 p.m., one hour prior to service at Good News Baptist Church.  All are welcome to come and pay respects to Arnie. Prayers for his two grandchildren, Arnie Clewell V and Lillian Clewell.

He is survived by his 95-year-old mother, Mary Margaret Clewell Legg of Ball Ground, Georgia; two grandchildren, whom he adored, Lillian Clewell and Arnold Clewell V; his son, Arnold Clewell IV of Alabama; four sisters, Mary (George) Hobart of Ball Ground, Sharon (Marc) Dearstyne of Ball Ground, Sandra Clewell of Troy, New York, and Jessica Clewell of Copely, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews; and two great-great nieces.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Kay Clewell; his father, Arnold Raymond Clewell III; a life partner, Joan Sorenson; brother, David Clewell; and several great nephews and nieces infants.

A family/friend celebration of life will be held at a later date and his interment will be at the Nassau Cemetery in Nassau, New York by Thomas Mooney Funeral Home at a later date.
