The Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for DaySpring Hospice and Palliative Care on Tuesday, April 22.
Among those in attendance were DaySpring Hospice Branch Director Tiffany Seal, cutting the ribbon; DaySpring Hospice founder Donna Hendrix, DaySpring Hospice officials and staff; AACC Director of Membership Services Maggie Holmes, right of ribbon; Chamber President Ginny Grimes, Chamber board members Emily Cain, Mitch Thorn, and Michelle Wunsh.
Palliative care is designed to provide comprehensive care to people living with an advanced illness and can be offered during any stage of an illness. It is different than hospice care as it can be combined with traditional, curative treatments.
DaySpring Hospice is located at 1805 E. Three Notch St., Ste. 4 in Andalusia, with additional offices located in Dothan and Enterprise. In operation since 2003, the DaySpring service area includes Covington, Coffee, Dale, Geneva, Houston, and Pike Counties.
Hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
