Lady Bulldogs end regular season with 8-4 win over Trinity Presbyterian

The Lady Bulldogs jumped out to a 3-0 lead over Trinity Presbyterian and went on to an 8-4 victory to end the regular season.
Taya Newton got things going for Andalusia with a lead-off single and she scored on a triple by Sarah Katherine Reese. Two errors and two walks benefitted the Lady Bulldogs as they finished the inning with a 3-0 edge.
Andalusia added to its lead in the bottom of the third. Reese got things going by reaching on an error and Kailey Jackson brought her home with a triple and she later scored on a ground ball. Consecutive singles by Jessa Ann Dubose and Blakelynn Bass kept things going. Dubose scored on a ground ball and Bass came home on an error to make the score 7-0.
Trinity got on the board in the top of the fourth with two singles and an RBI double to get in the game, 7-1. A double and hit batter added two more for Trinity in the top of the fifth making it a four-run game, 7-4.
In the circle for Andalusia, Jackson held Trinity scoreless the remainder of the game.
Andalusia added another run in the bottom of the sixth as Reese led off with a single and moved to third on a double by McKenzie Barrow. Reese then came home on a ground ball for the final run of the game, securing the 8-4 win for Andalusia.
Jackson pitched seven innings for Andalusia, giving up four two earned runs on ten hits.
Reese led the offense, going two-for-four with an RBI and two runs scored. Dubose finished with two RBI and a run scored. Barrow and Newton each hit doubles while Jackson and Reese each had triples.
