Bobcats end season in second round at Bibb County

Opp traveled to Centreville to play Bibb County for the second round of the playoffs with the Choctaws sweeping both games on Saturday ending the Bobcats season.
Bibb County won game one, 3-0, with all three runs scored in the first inning and then won the second game, 16-2, to end Opp’s season with a 23-7 record.
In game one, both Baylor Turman and Cash Harrell doubled and Riley Day had a base hit as well to account for Opp’s three hits. Porter Nelson pitched all six innings for Opp, giving up just one earned run with five hits and striking out six.
In the second game, Riley Day was 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and two RBIs in his final at-bat to account for the two Bobcat runs. Landon Langley scored on the homer for the other run. Cash Harrell had a double with Grady Patterson, Dawson Peacock, and Porter Nelson also collecting hits. Opp used six pitchers in the game with Cash Harrell going two innings to start the game.
