Mrs. Jean Carol Austin Walker, 86, of Red Level, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Andalusia Manor.
Mrs. Walker was born June 2, 1938, to Howard Eugene Austin and Pearl Harper Austin. She married her husband, Jack, on June 2, 1956, and the two were married for 64 years until his death. The Walkers made their home in Red Level, and they had a divided home where he pulled for Alabama and she cheered hard for Auburn and game days were always memorable. Jean was a long time member of Mott Church of Christ in Red Level.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2 p.m., from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Mott Church of Christ Cemetery in Red Level. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at Foreman Funeral Home.
She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Walker, Justin (Amanda) Walker, Jamella Walker (Max) Hudson, Jason (Tracey) Walker; grandchildren, Jennifer Walker, Austin Walker, Dalton Walker, Whitney (Wesley) Walden, Miranda (Evans) Murphy, Melissa (Trevor) Gamble, McCay Walker, McKenzie Walker, Nick (Amber) Ziglar, Cade (Amber) Hudson, Bryan (Holley) Walker, Jordan (Necole) Walker; 17 great-grandchildren; her brother, Tommy Austin, and sister, Debi Austin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Pearl Harper Austin and Howard Eugene Austin, and husband of 64 years, Jack E. Walker.
Pallbearers will be Austin Walker, Dalton Walker, Bryan Walker, Jordan Walker, Nick Ziglar, and Cade Hudson.
Honorary pallbearers will be McCay Walker, Wesley Walden, and Kenny Reed.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Mott Church of Christ.
