Andalusia Health Services, Inc. awarded 13 scholarships in the amount of $185,500 to area residents accepted in a program of study in the medical field for the 2025-2026 school year on Tuesday, May 6.
Nurse practitioner doctorate recipients are Charlie Kirkland and Linda Sue Walker.
Physical therapy doctorate recipients are Jake Jeter and Chloe Mikel.
Nurse practitioner masters recipients are Katie Bowers, Ashleigh Flowers, and Millicent Riley.
Registered nursing recipients are Kristina Craig, Adelis Cruz-Daum, Bryce Dubose, Melonie Harris, Amber Newby, and Ella Wood.
The Board of Directors is comprised of Phillip Jones, president, Charles Roland, vice president, Carolyn Graham, secretary/treasurer, Cathy Alexander, Wayne Bennett, Ivan Bishop, Diaon Cook, Chrissie Duffy, Joe Proctor, and Elizabeth Starr.
The Scholarship Selection Committee is comprised of Shirley Smith, chair, Ziba Anderson, Regina Bass, Ted Watson, and Jana Wyatt.
Applications are accepted each year from Jan. 2 through March 31.
