To the Editor,
We’re sorry for the delay, but the Likely family would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported us during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you to the River Falls Police Department, the Covington County Sheriff’s Office and the Rescue Team, and all the first responders who assisted in the search. Special thanks to Chief Marcus Laster and Sheriff Blake Turman for their prayers and presence, and to every officer who stood by our side.
We are forever grateful to the Red Level community for surrounding us with love. Thank you to Fox News for covering Kentravious’s story, and to The Star-News for allowing our family time to grieve before publishing.
A heartfelt thank-you to Marshall Hammond Funeral Home for their compassion, Buck Creek Baptist Church for allowing us to hold the service there, and Golden Rule for generously providing food.
To all of Kentravious’s teachers, school staff, classmates, and the entire community — thank you for pouring into his life. To the many friends, neighbors, and strangers who prayed for us, sent kind words, brought food, or gave donations: your kindness has meant more than words can express.
To our family and close friends who have been by our side every step of the way — thank you. We couldn’t have made it through without you. And to all of Kentravious’s friends who continue to check in, especially his beloved girlfriend, Dakota, please know how much we love and appreciate you. You’ve helped make this painful journey a little easier with your love and support.
Please continue to keep our family in your prayers.
Sincerely,
The Likely Family
