The Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for High Point Senior in conjunction with its grand opening and open house on Thursday, May 8.

Among those celebrating with residents and Chamber officials were city, county, and state elected officials.

Gateway Development Corporation of Birmingham served as the project developer and also had representatives on hand.

Located at 22572 Christie Smith Road outside of Andalusia, High Point Senior is an affordable housing community for adults who are 55 and older.

The 56-unit complex was completed in February 2025.
