Meredith’s Miracles proudly recognized graduating high school seniors for their exceptional volunteer service during its annual Miracle Maker Awards Ceremony Monday at City Hall.
Students who completed over 100 hours of volunteer service from eighth grade through their senior year were awarded the prestigious “Miracle Maker Medal.”
In total, all student volunteers contributed a combined 4,462 hours to Meredith’s Miracles over the past year. Their dedication played a vital role in the success of key fundraising initiatives, including the Cookies with Characters event, which raised over $114,000 in a single day.
Since its founding, Meredith’s Miracles has provided more than $1.5 million in financial support to children and families across 26 counties in Alabama.
“I am immensely grateful for their unwavering dedication and the countless hours they have generously invested in service to our community. As they move forward into their college years, I wholeheartedly encourage these graduates to continue their volunteer involvement with us,” said Meredith’s Miracles Executive Director Kiley Spears. “It has truly been a privilege to work with each of these outstanding students. Their commitment to making a difference is inspiring, and we look forward to seeing the impact they will continue to have in the future.”
